About This Publication
The original Spelling Pack was published by the Basic Skills Agency in 1988, as an essential resource for teachers of literacy and language to adults and young people.
The pack has now been extensively revised and updated to meet the needs of teachers and learners today, reflecting changes in practice such as an increased emphasis on vocational contexts and group activities, and especially the rapid growth in ICT as a resource for teaching and learning.
It provides teaching and learning activities, strategies and approaches for teachers to use to support adults' spelling within any programme of study together with activities to carry out with colleagues to support CPD.
