About This Publication
Encourage parenting skills in young people through focusing on what kind of parent they want to be. Communication and interaction with children are explored through the medium of toys and games. Learners will make toys, games or books for children and then use them together, encouraging parent-child interaction.
Child's Play enrichment may be used as a complete programme or as the basis of a more comprehensive programme by using the extension activities. You may wish to include it in existing programmes on parenting for young people. Learners can try out a number of activities by following step-by-step instructions. Activities include shadow puppets, paper planes and dot-to-dot pictures, together with space for the learners to illustrate their own ideas.
